Frozen in order

When I listen to soundtracks, I listen to them with in chronological order, the way they were played in the movie, so that it’s as if I’m watching the movie all over again.

My latest project: Disney’s Frozen.
Get it in iTunes, Amazon, or the Disney Store.

The order of the songs and the scores in the first issue of the soundtrack is pretty easy. But mixing in the score demos and outtakes were a little bit trickier, but I think I got it down. (I hope!) Corrections are welcome!

Disney’s Tangled: bring on the hair!

To be completely honest, although I’ve enjoyed all Disney’s animated films, nothing affected me so much after Lion King. But by the looks of it, Tangled is going to make me feel like a kid again. Mostly because we’re going back to the castle, and how Disney princess used to be.

And, come on, just look at the cast! We have:

A feisty heroine. A damsel in distress, but at the same time…not.

A snarky hero. I LOVE SNARKY HEROES. Having smoldering eyes and Zachary Levi’s voice is DEFINITELY a plus.

Add this horse. This horse will be awesome. I know it.

And this chameleon. As far as cuddly animal friends go, this little guy looks like a kick-ass one.

I am certain that I’m going to LOVE this movie.

Like most Disney Princess movies, this one tweaks the story a bit and goes beyond just revolving around Rapunzel’s tower, but all the important elements are there. There’s the girl, there’s the tower, there’s the jailer-type “mother”, there’s the hero, and there’s the hair. Lots of it. And it looks awesome! Need proof? Watch this video. (No spoilers, don’t worry.)

I’ve been trying to restrain myself from getting too excited, but I’m actually jumping up and down here. I can’t wait!

TANGLED is coming to the Philippines on February 2, 2010 in Disney Digital 3D™ and regular format.

Life As We Know It Review

Holly Berenson (Katherine Heigl) is an up and coming caterer and Eric Messer (Josh Duhamel) is a promising network sports director. After a disastrous first date, the only thing they have in common is their dislike for each other and their love for their goddaughter, Sophie. But when they suddenly become all Sophie has in the world, Holly and Messer are forced to put their differences aside. Juggling career ambitions and competing social calendars, they’ll have to find some common ground while living under one roof.

I still can’t decide how to categorize this movie. It’s not just a chick flick, but it’s not exactly a family film, either. Not that this movie is confused— oh no, absolutely not! I’m pretty certain that the makers of Life as We Know It know what they’re doing. Continue reading

The Town Review

Although Ben Affleck has been, in my opinion, doing “just okay” for recently, he has come up with a movie he co-wrote, directed and starred in… and it is intense, well thought out, and, well, intense.

There are over 300 bank robberies in Boston every year. And a one-square-mile neighborhood in Boston, called Charlestown, has produced more bank and armored car robbers than anywhere in the U.S. It is against that backdrop that Warner Bros.’ new gripping thriller The Town is set. Continue reading

Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps

Michael Douglas is back in his Oscar®-winning role as Gordon Gekko whose iconic “Greed is good” mantra and daring corporate raids made him a rock star of financial titans. No longer the king of Wall Street, Gekko emerges from Federal prison after serving eight years. While away, his wife has divorced him, his son has died, and his one remaining family member, his daughter Winnie (Carey Mulligan), won’t speak to him. Continue reading

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole is epic on IMAX 3D

I have been waiting for Warner Bros.’ 3D movie Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole since I saw its epic trailer. Yeah, that epic trailer with owls battling in slow motion, a feather swooshing in 3D while 30 Seconds to Mars’ equally epic Kings and Queens plays in the background. Yes. That trailer. Continue reading

Walt Disney’s TANGLED releases new trailer

Walt Disney's TangledWalt Disney Pictures has just released the latest trailer of the 3D animated feature Tangled, which is billed as one of the most hilarious, hair-raising tales ever told!

In the film, when the kingdom’s most wanted—and most charming—bandit Flynn Rider (voice of Zachary Levi) hides out in a mysterious tower, he’s taken hostage by Rapunzel (voice of Mandy Moore), a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Continue reading
