Today the Tumblrbot asked me a question. (Let’s not get into why I’m answering a tumblr question on WordPress.)
Well, that’s easy. Music, movies, food, books. There’s a reason why they’re in the menu of this blog.
Music. I like making playlists for everything. I’ve posted a lot on this blog. Sometimes I make a playlist that reflects my mood just so I have an outlet, or I whip out my Make Me Feel Better playlist. It’s a mix of high-power tracks for dispelling pent-up energy (Florence and the Machine, Fun, and some 90s rock) before it moves on to feel good sounds (Minnutes, Lenka, Colbie Callait). I think I have Regina Spektor as the segue.
I also have a Get Up and Fight playlist that reminds me that I’m not alone. If you have your own Make Me Feel Better playlist, please do let me know!
Movies and TV. I don’t have to watch a movie. Discussing them, even the ones I think are a waste of time, relaxes me for some reason.
Food. I’m a foodie, but not an emotional eater. But, really, who doesn’t like food?
Books. Nothing like diving into another world to distract me from those responsible for my bad mood.
Also, pandas. As seen in my Happiness board on Pinterest.
I have no more words on that matter.
And, okay, flowers may work, too, but I don’t receive them frequently so this is remains a theory until proven true.
