You have to understand, in the case of Jason Voorhees, it doesn’t matter how many sequels that franchise churns out, it will *never* flop.

Every single movie from that series turned a profit, except maybe Jason X. This is because the budgets for these films have always been very low, so all it needs is to make a decent showing at the tills, and it’s off to profitlandia for these guys.

This is a very interesting post.

Filmakers tend to depend on doing sequels because of the money, especially on movies that has earned a lot in the past.

The different things that you pointed out are true and very common. Especially on overemphasizing the good things, sometimes movie makers make use of the good things so much that it becomes too irritating.

I am also thankful that you have given some examples on your post. This gives the readers a little background on what you are talking about.
