Some people are immensely inconsiderate.

As most people do, our family tried to stay awake until midnight last night. We had pizzas delivered so we didn't have to prepare dinner and wash mountains of plates after. After dinner, we wrapped gifts for our relatives in Bulacan. Then, we started our movie marathon. The night was going well. Then, midnight strikes.

Yey! Happy new year! Fireworks all around. There's a party in the basketball court across the street. Yes, everyone was happy (or at least I think mostly everyone is. I'm sure the people in South Asia still celebrated the start of the new year).

The firworks died down around ten minutes after midnight.

Odd that the firecrackers started weeks before, and then merely ten freaking minutes later, everyone seemed to stop celebrating.

Anyways, by three AM, we were beat. So I decided to call it a night (although technically it was already morning).

Apparently, the people in the basketball court thought otherwise. The loud party music right outside my window continued. Now, I would've respected that if a lot of people were still partying. I mean, I wasn't about to spoil everybody else's fun just so I could sleep. I'm not that much of a killjoy. But then, guess how many people were there in the court.

Three.

A measly three.

And the music started to reach me as noise. I mean, I'm pretty sure they would have at least thought that maybe, just maybe some people who were awake the whole day were already trying to sleep.

But then again, maybe not.

*sigh* I fell asleep eventually... But at that time, I was also having a pretty hard time breathing, what with a pillow on my head.

The good thing is this: my new year's day wasn't entirely ruined. I had lotsa fun with my relatives, and i got a nice bowl from my aunt!

Ah, well.

I was energetic, stumped, grumpy and happy, all in one day! What a way to start the year. If this was just the beginning, then methinks this is going to be an exciting one.
